SOS SCOOPS: The Regular scoop features a unique shape that is only seen on the SOS manufactured shovels. The innovative design of the handle area joins the shovel body and transfers bending stresses further down into the main portion of the scoop. This means more digging power when needed in the time-sensitive avalanche rescue scenario. The standard scoop size is 26 cm x 30 cm and weighs 440 grams. The Ultra 3 is the same design as the Standard and made of aircraft aluminum for lighter weight and weighs 365 grams. The Ultra 6 has the lightest scoop weight of our three models. Scoop size is 26 cm x 30 cm and weighs a featherweight 285 grams.
